Week 46 - Thankful

I know - when it comes to this challenge
I've been MIA for awhile.

But today I had some awesome light,
some time up my sleeve
and a desire to pull out the camera.

When I came to process these pics,
I thought I'd check the challenge calendar
to see what we are up to.

The theme is "thankful"
and I had no doubt these pics were a perfect match.
Without a doubt I am thankful
for our miracle child.
Sarah makes me laugh and smile
every day.
There are no words to describe how thankful
I am that God gave scientists the smarts
and skills to help us create our miracle child.

She has brightened my days and changed my life
and for that I am, and always will be, thankful.
Brian and I are blessed.

Thankful

Today was all about making the most of spring
- we spent the day in the garden.

Water!!

Week 35 - signs of spring

Signs of spring

- when it comes to themes like this I love living
in the gorgeous Waitakere ranges.
Our yard provided all the inspiration I needed......
and then some.

Week 32 - Black and White

Week 32 - Black and White

Sarah (3 years, 4 months) has started dance class
and is loving it......
It's a fun, easy going class all about
dressing up, tip-toeing, prancing like a cat
and waving pom poms around.
Super cute.

Week 28 - Imperfection

Week 28 - Imperfection
The ill-fated Sheraton/Hilton Hotel in Rarotonga.
...Cursed? Haunted?
Who knows, but certainly fascinating to wander around
and look at the resort that was 3/4 finished and has stood abandoned for years.
I didn't get the shot I was hoping for in here......we were too chicken to stay too long.

Week 30 - Happiness

Happiness = together again!

After Brian spent four days in Sydney
Sarah and I headed out to the airport
for a bit of plane spotting and then
we had front row seats
at the arrivals lounge to welcome him home.

Happiness - together again

Week 25 - youth

There's plenty of youthfulness in our house.
We've got a 3-year-old daughter
(sometimes it feels like she is going on 13)
and at times Sarah is a real tom boy.
She loves singing, dancing, dress ups, princesses, fairies and dolls.
But my goodness - she sure loves her trains, trucks, blocks, climbing and getting dirty too.

Here's some images from a Sunday afternoon spent
introducing her three new trains
to her train set.

Week 22 - autumn

What better place to capture autumn
than our favourite park - Tangiwai Reserve.
A favourite with the whole the family - the humans and the dog.....
